My son has a grade 3 glioma recurrence and cerebral radiation necrosis (RN) both of which are causing severe cerebral edema. He had 11 sessions of HBOT at a hospital at 2.0 ATA to treat RN until he had a seizure in the chamber when it was being depressurized. He did not take his seizure med that day. His seizure meds have been increased but the hospital refuses to restart his HBOT treatments and his onclologist refuses to issue a referral to another hospital. It appears that RN is the primary cause of the severe edema. We are concerned the edema is providing a favorable environment for tumor progression. The RN is getting worse and could kill him. We are also aware that HBOT may slow down or stop tumor progression. My son has survived 3 seizures but may will not survive his tumor or radiation necrosis if they go unchecked. Again, there are no viable chemo or immuno therapy options available for him. We appear to have no choice but to do at home HBOT but are concerned that 1.3 ATA may not be effective. By the way, on 12/29/22 he was told there were no more chemo options available and that his prognosis was ~8 months. He has survived beyond that prognosis on a therapeutic keto diet and several off label drugs and many supplements (thank you Prof Seyfried). Would greatly appreciate your input on this.

Love these videos. I wish Dr. J would do a video on Osteoradionecrosis of the jaw bone and HBO therapy. I'm about to get my 40th HBO session (2 hours at 2.4 atm) to treat this condition and HBO is basically my only treatment option. Though I did request to also be put on the PENTO Protocol (Pentoxifylline and Tocopherol) when I first found out I had ORN two years ago, and that seems to have really helped me stabilize the bone loss. Now I just need a little bone repair in my jaw bone, which hopefully HBO will initiate.

I've just received my QRS pemf mat and was planning on offering it to lay on whilst using the whole body red light therapy over the top of the body. I did some research to come to the conclusion that this was a good thing to do. I can't think of any reason why not to do then together, can you??

Can you take HBOT in tumor recurrence case? My mom had brain tumor stage 2, she went for surgery and radiation. Now she has some damaged tissues/edema in brain due to either necrosis or recurrence. Some chances of recurrence. Will this therapy work? Or doesn’t the oxygen help in growing tumor cells?

Hi Doctor, My mom is currently suffering from radiation necrosis. She had her brain tumor excision in November 2023, and radiations (tomotherapy) taken in Dec-Jan. But since January ending, she got symptomatic with getting reduced control of her right hand. Also, she had edema because of this. MRI reports suggest of radiation necrosis but there is also a possibility of tumor recurrence? Everytime we try to taper steroids, the edema increases. She had a seizure in the month of May because of the same reason. Do you recommend her taking this treatment?

My hyperbaric chamber came with an Ionizer separate from the compressor. The Compressor goes into an ionizer then goes into the chamber to pressurize the chamber. 95% of slow flowing oxygen is being brought to a nose cannula from an 02 concentrator into the HBOT chamber. QUESTION: Is this ozone coming from the ion box? If so, isn't this bad to breath? What Purpose does it serve?

She has had constant fullness, pain like an ear ache, sensitivity to sound, stabbing and burning, and tinnitus. Would she see results after 10 months? We would love to try this. Could you help us?
